Recall 92V185000: Brake Lamp Switch Failure

The service brake stop lamp switch becomes inoperative. The inoperative stop lamp switch will not illuminate the stop lamps when the brake pedal is depressed. This would not adequately inform other drivers of the vehicle operator's intent to stop or slow down.

Replace the stop lamp switch and correct the wiring in the connector of the stop lamp switch wiring harness.

System: lighting; Stop lamps.

Note: If the failure occurs during three consecutive service brake applications the amber anti-lock brake system (ABS) telltale lamp may illuminate indicating a problem with the system.
