Rear Knuckle Alignment Link: Service and Repair

Fig. 12 Tie Rod Replacement:

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire.
2. Loosen outer tie rod jam nuts, then remove cotter pin and nut securing tie rod to spindle support knuckle, Fig. 12.
3. Press tie rod from knuckle using tool J-24319-01 or equivalent.
4. Remove tie rod from adjusting sleeve, counting number of turns necessary.
5. Reverse procedure to install, then check rear suspension alignment. Torque tie rod nut specifications.
