Figure 12 on page 3F5-7 in SECTION 3F5 (SIR TILT STEERING COLUMN UNIT REPAIR) of the 1991 "Y" Service Manual has been updated to reflect SIR Coil Assembly Centering Procedures. Two SIR Coil Assemblies are available from GMSPO when a replacement Coil Assembly is ordered. One is designed to be rotated clockwise, the other counterclockwise, when centering the coil before installation. The attached replacement Figure 12 reflects the procedure for both types of SIR Coil Assembly; only one type is currently shown in the 1991 "Y" Service Manual.
