Air Bag Resistor: Service and Repair

1. Deactivate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG DEACTIVATION.
2. Remove radio control.
3. Disconnect resistor module from instrument carrier assembly.
4. Remove SIR wiring harness CPA and disconnect electrical connector from resistor module.
5. Remove resistor module.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Following installation, activate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ACTIVATION.
b. Turn ignition switch to the On position and verify the ``Inflatable Restraint'' indicator flashes 7 to 9 times then turns Off. If indicator does not respond, refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING PROCEDURE/TESTING PROCEDURES/RETRIEVING TROUBLE CODES.
