Fig. 3 Exhaust Manifold Replacement:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect EGR valve pipe and position aside.
3. Remove A/C compressor brace, then remove oil level dipstick and tube.
4. Disconnect AIR hose at check valve.
5. Disconnect temperature sending unit electrical connector.
6. Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plugs and brackets, then remove spark plugs after engine has cooled.
7. Raise and support vehicle.
8. Remove AIR pipe clamp at manifold.
9. Disconnect exhaust cross-over pipe at exhaust manifolds.
10. Lower vehicle.
11. Remove exhaust manifold attaching bolts, then remove exhaust manifold, Fig. 3.
12. Reverse procedure to install.
