Section: 0B

Date: December 1990

Corporate Bulletin No.: 030202

Subject:
TIRE PRESSURE

Model and Year:
1991 BERETTA

TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

Application:

1991 Beretta (RPO 1LV37) and P195/7OR14 (RPO QME) Tires.

This bulletin advises dealers of a change in tire inflation pressure from 35 psi (240 kPa) to 30 psi (210 kPa) for specified vehicles. During service and new car preparation, inflate the tires to this new inflation pressure of 30 psi (210 kPa). This change will improve vehicle ride and reduce impact harshness.

The 1991 Chevrolet Corsica/Beretta Service Manual, Maintenance and Lubrication (Section 0B), page 0B-10 does not show the new inflation pressure. As of October 29, 1990, vehicles with VIN breakpoints after Y132724 (Wilmington) and E126889 (Linden) have new inflation pressure labels (Code LBD) with the pressure at 30 psi (210 kPa). Vehicles with VIN break points before Y132725 (Wilmington) and E126890 (Linden) have old labels (Code LAS) with the pressure at 35 psi.
