Replace modulator valve through access in rear storage compartment.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove storage tray and insulation.
3. Disconnect and remove entire ABS wiring harness from storage compartment.
4. Disconnect modulator valve ground from body wiring harness.
5. Disconnect five brake pipes from modulator valve, noting location for reassembly.
6. Remove three modulator valve to bracket attaching nuts, then the modulator valve, Fig. 58.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque modulator valve to bracket attaching nuts to 7 ft. lbs.
b. Remove shipping caps from modulator valve if necessary, then connect brake pipes. Torque brake pipes to 13 ft. lbs.
c. Bleed brakes as necessary.
