Lateral Accelerometer: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove accessory trim plate attaching screws, then trim plate.
3. Remove console trim plate attaching screws, rotate trim plate, then disconnect lighter.
4. Remove A/C control head, then the lateral acceleration switch attaching bolts, Fig. 60.
5. Disconnect lateral acceleration switch electrical connector, then remove switch.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Torque lateral acceleration mounting bolts to 27 inch lbs. Perform ABS system check.
