Some 1989 Cavalier, Corsica and Beretta models produced with a 2.8L engine (VIN Code W) may experience an engine oil leak at the oil filter adapter. If diagnosis indicates the leak is from a loose oil filter adapter, the adapter retaining bolt should be tightened to 60 N-m (45 lbs.ft). It is not necessary to replace the adapter gasket unless it is damaged.
