Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect oxygen sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove serpentine belt, then remove alternator and position aside.
4. Raise and support vehicle.
5. Remove exhaust pipe, then lower vehicle.
6. Remove exhaust manifold attaching bolts, then remove oil filler tube.
7. Carefully lift exhaust manifold from exhaust pipe flange, then remove exhaust manifold from cylinder head.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
