Engine Mount: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Engine Front Mount:

FRONT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove upper engine mount to body bracket attaching bolts, then the upper engine mount to engine bracket attaching bolt, Fig. 1.
3. Raise vehicle and support engine, then remove inner fender shield.
4. Remove lower engine mount to body bracket attaching bolt.
5. Remove lower engine mount to engine bracket attaching bolt.
6. Remove engine mount.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Apply suitable locking compound to bolt threads before installation.

Fig. 2 Engine Rear Mount:

REAR
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Support engine and remove engine mount nuts, Fig. 2.
4. Remove and discard engine mount to engine attaching bolts.
5. Remove engine mount from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
