Water Pump: Service and Repair

Fig. 12 Engine Front Cover, Timing Chain, Sprocket & Camshaft:

1. Drain cooling system, then remove heater and lower hoses from pump.
2. Loosen pulley belts, then remove fan and pulley. On air conditioned cars, remove clutch fan assembly and pulley.
3. Remove pump from front cover, Fig. 12.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
