1. Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
2. Remove intake duct, then remove serpentine drive belt.
3. Disconnect heater hose from water pump.
4. Disconnect radiator hose from thermostat housing.
5. Remove power steering pump and bracket and position aside with hoses attached.
6. Remove water pump attaching bolts, then remove water pump and gasket.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Prior to installation, coat water pump bolt threads with a suitable sealer. Refer to Figs. 21 and 22, for water pump attaching bolt torque.
