Park Lock Cable
PARK LOCK CABLE REMOVAL, FLOOR SHIFT MODELS
AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLES: Floor shift models equipped with automatic transaxies only use an ignition switch inhibiter and park lock cable. On these models the park lock cable must be disconnected from the ignition switch inhibiter before the steering column is removed from the car. When instructed to remove steering column from car in the following service sections proceed as follows:

Park Lock Cable Removal-F/S,A/T:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Lower steering column to the car floor.
2. Park lock cable from ignition switch inhibiter with small screwdriver or punch as shown.
3. Steering column from car.
