Rocker Arm Assembly: Service and Repair

Rocker arm studs that have stress cracks or damaged threads can be replaced. If threads in the cylinder head are damaged or stripped, the head can be retapped and a helical type insert installed. Tighten new rocker arm stud(s) to specifications.
