Master Cylinder Disassembly/Assembly

Removing Circlip And Primary Piston:





Removing Piston Stopper Bolt And Secondary Piston:





Disassembly
1. Remove circlip.

CAUTION: Be cautious during removal as primary piston jumps out.

2. Remove primary piston by using compressed air.
3. Remove piston stopper bolt. Then remove secondary piston by blowing compressed air into hole from which piston stopper bolt was removed.

Installing Secondary Piston And Circlip:





Assembly

NOTE: Before assembling, wash each part in brake fluid.

1. Assemble secondary piston.
2. Install secondary piston assembly into cylinder.
3. Install primary piston in cylinder.
4. Depress piston and install circlip.
5. Install piston stopper bolt with pistons pushed in all the way and torque to 8-12 Nm (6.0-8.5 ft. lb.)
6. Install master cylinder.
