Measure
^ Surfaces contacting cylinder head for warpage, using a precision straight edge and feeler gage.
Maximum warpage:
^ Intake manifold 0.05 mm (0.0020 in.)
^ Exhaust manifold 0.30 mm (0.0118 in.)
^ Air control valve 0.05 mm (0.0020 in.)
^ If warpage is greater than maximum, replace manifold or air control valve.
Install or Connect
^ Reverse removal procedures
Tighten
^ Exhaust manifold bolts to 25 N.m (18 ft. lb.).
^ Intake manifold bolts to 27 N.m (20 ft. lb.).
^ Intake manifold bracket bolts to 27 N.m (20 ft. lb.).
^ Delivery pipe bolts to 17 N.m (13 ft. lb.)
