TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS
Certain 1988 models with performance oriented combinations of engine, transaxle and Suspension options use a new cross-groove design constant-velocity (CV) joint at the inboard (transaxle) end of the drive axle assembly. The joint can be identified by the cylindrical shape of its outer housing. Refer to the illustration for the proper seal collapse dimension when making repairs to the seal, clamps, or housing assembly.
