Assembly

1. Install new O-rings on piston, then apply a suitable lubricant.
2. Insert piston into transaxle case, then push piston into case bore, facing spring seats upward.
3. Install piston return spring assembly using tool Nos. J-35683 and J-23327, then compress return springs and insert snap ring. Ensure snap ring is securely seated, centered by three lugs on spring retainer and end gap is not aligned with spring retainer.
