CHART C-2C, SSC POWER STEERING CIRCUIT
1. This is a functional check. SSC is activated on tight turns and during parking maneuvers to keep engine from stalling.
2. Diaphragm should retract after 10 seconds. Disconnecting fast idle solenoid relay will check if timer or P/S circuit is at fault.
3. Checks wire and P/S cutout switch for an open circuit.
4. Checks power steering cut-out switch.
5. Functional check for power steering to activate system.
6. Checks for shorted wire going to P/S cutout switch.
7. Checks for 12V supply to fast idle relay
8. This will by-pass relay so diaphragm operation can be checked.
9. Checks wire between relay and fast idle solenoid
