Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

The pressure regulator is factory adjusted and no attempt should be made to remove the cover.
1. Remove crossover tube retainer attaching bolts (235) Fig. 355, then retainers (234).
2. Remove rear crossover retainer attaching bolt (273), then retainer (270).
3. Remove left side fuel rail and plug assembly (220) from the right side fuel rail (200).
4. Remove regulator bracket assembly attaching bolts (256 & 258), then bracket.
5. Remove rear stud assembly (222).
6. Remove right side rail attaching bolts (275), then regulator and base assembly (240).
7. Remove regulator from fuel outlet tube.
8. Remove base to rail connector (250).
9. Reverse procedure to install. Replace all O-rings and coat with suitable oil prior to installation.
