All THM 700-R4 transmissions used in 1984 Corvettes will have a roller bearinized extension housing bushing. Because of this roller bearinizing process, the extension housing bushing can not be serviced. If the extension housing bushing requires replacement, the complete extension housing assembly (P/N 8642314) must be used.
