Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

1984---88 CORVETTE

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove spare tire and carrier.
3. Disconnect stabilizer links from spindle support knuckles.
4. Remove retainers securing shaft bushings to crossmember, bushings and stabilizer shaft.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Torque bushing retaining nuts and bolts securing stabilizer links to knuckles to 14---22 ft. lbs., and bolts securing links to stabilizer bar to 25---35 ft. lbs.
