Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

CORVETTE

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge system refrigerant.
2. Remove radiator cap.
3. Remove accumulator hold-down clamp and set accumulator to one side.
4. Remove accumulator at frame.
5. Remove fan to upper shroud attaching screws.
6. Remove upper shroud attaching screws and move shroud rearward.
7. Disconnect condenser inlet and outlet fittings and install new O-rings.
8. Remove condenser from carrier.
9. Reverse procedure to install, adding oil as necessary.
