ELECTRIC AUXILIARY FAN KIT:

We have heard of some Corvettes that may experience an engine overheating condition when pulling long grades or hard driving conditions while at high ambient temperatures. An electric auxiliary fan kit (see illustration) with complete installation instructions is available as P/N 14044840.

To assist the base fan temperatures, the auxiliary fan is designed to turn on at a coolant temperature of 115~C (239~F) and higher. It is beneficial in lowering coolant during idle and low speed operation at high ambient temperatures. The base fan normally turns on at approximately 106~F (223~F) coolant temperature.

The auxiliary fan kit can be installed using the installation instructions furnished with kit, P/N 14044840.
