Parts and Service Information
The parts required to complete this campaign will be shipped directly to the Dealer's Service Manager from Chevrolet Central Office. Parts quantities will be determined by the number of vehicles identified on the computer list furnished each involved dealer with the campaign bulletin. IMPORTANT: The new bolt P/N 14079998 can be identified by the orange colored adhesive patch material on the bolt threads.
Parts are not to be returned by the dealer to WDDGM for credit.
Parts removed from the involved vehicles are to be retained by the dealer in accordance with the current Service Policies and Procedures Manual.

SERVICE PROCEDURES
The campaign repair can be performed without raising the vehicle or removing the front wheels.
1. Raise hood.
2. Remove the upper caliper attaching bolt.
3. Using the NEW 3/8 in. cylindrical wire brush provided, first thoroughly clean the brush with 1, 1, 1 Trichlorethane solvent; let dry.
4. Clean threads in the upper caliper attachment by threading the brush through the threads as far as possible, then remove by reverse threading. This step MUST be performed to remove residual teflon no matter how clean the threads appear.
5. Blow out threads with air gun.
6. Install new bolt provided, P/N 14079998, and torque to 95 N-m (70 ft.lb.).
7. Repeat the process for the lower caliper attaching bolt.
8. Recheck torque on both bolts immediately.
This procedure must be accomplished on both right and left front wheels.
9. Allow to cure for 2 hours before driving.
10. Install campaign label.
11. Close hood.
