Brake Shoe & Lining Removal


1. Drain approximately 2/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Mark relationship of wheel to axle assembly, then remove wheel(s).
4. Position a suitable C-clamp into caliper, with one end of clamp against inlet fitting bolt head and other end of clamp against outboard shoe.
5. Tighten clamp screw until caliper piston bottoms in piston bore.
6. Remove and discard upper caliper self locking bolt.
7. Rotate caliper until shoe and lining assemblies are exposed.
8. Remove shoe and lining assemblies.
