This bulletin cancels and supercedes Chevrolet Dealer Service Bulletin 86-141 (Section 8E) dated Aug., 1986. All copies of 86-141 should be destroyed. Additional model year applications and part numbers are included in this new bulletin.

Customer comments of loose wiper arms may be received on 1984 to 1986 Celebrity vehicles.

Effective with the following breakpoints new style wiper arms, providing better retention to the splined providing transmission shaft end have been installed on 1986 Celebrity vehicles.

Breakpoints for producing plants are as follows:

To correct loose wiper arm comments on 1984 to 1986 vehicles BEFORE the listed VIN breakpoints the following wiper arms should be used.

NOTE: In rare cases it may be necessary to reposition the cowl grille to obtain the necessary clearances for the new style wiper arm.

If replacement of a wiper arm is needed on a 1986 Celebrity AFTER the VIN breakpoint the following part numbers should be used.
