Beginning with the Julian dates listed in the chart below, a new torque converter clutch solenoid screen, "O" ring and valve body spacer plate assembly went into production on all model THM 440-T4 transmissions.
TCC Solenoid Screen/Channel Plate:
Transmissions built prior to these Julian dates have the past TCC solenoid screen which sits in a pocket in the channel plate and under the spacer plate. Transmissions built starting on these Julian dates have the new TCC solenoid screen and "O" ring which snaps onto the new spacer plate assembly (see the illustration for installation of the new parts).
NOTICE: If replacement of the spacer plate is required, the past TCC solenoid screen must be discarded and the new solenoid screen and "O" ring must be installed. Refer to chart below for part numbers and model applications.
