If a loose rear quarter trim finishing panel to fasteners are encountered, the condition may be repaired by installling the fastener to the trim panel using adhesive backed body side molding foam tape (3M-06380 or equivalent) followed by the installation of cloth-backed waterproof body tape as shown in the illustration below. The cloth-backed tape is used to provide adequate retention of fastener to trim panel and prevent peel load on tape.
