Air Door Cable: Adjustments
LESS A/CControl cables have a slider-type self adjusting feature. As the control head lever is moved through its full operating range, the cable clip assumes a position which assures that the air door will seat in both extreme positions. After cable installation, the control head lever should be moved briskly from the full "ON" to the full "OFF" position. Approximately 2/3 of the way through the lever travel, additional resistance will be felt as the clip position is adjusted. After the cable clip is set, uniform resistance should be felt as the lever is moved from stop to stop, and the air doors should be heard to contact their stops at both extreme positions.
