Evaporative Emission Front Pipe Replacement (FWD)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.

2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement Service and Repair.




3. Disconnect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the EVAP purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

4. Unclip the EVAP pipe from the retaining clips.

5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

6. Remove the right front underbody air deflector. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side.

7. Remove the right rear underbody air deflector. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side.

8. Lower the rear of the frame approximately 51 mm (2 in). Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement Service and Repair.

9. Unclip the EVAP pipe from the cowl line retainer clip.




10. Disconnect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the EVAP emission canister purge pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

11. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the retainers (2).

12. Remove the EVAP emission front pipe (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the EVAP emission front pipe (1) to the vehicle.

2. Install the EVAP emission front pipe (1) to the retainers (2).

3. Connect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) to the EVAP emission canister purge pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

4. Install the right front underbody air deflector. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side.

5. Install the right rear underbody air deflector. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side.

6. Install the drivetrain and front suspension frame. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement Service and Repair.

7. Lower the vehicle.




8. Connect the EVAP emission front pipe (1) to the EVAP purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement Service and Repair.

10. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.
