Coolant Bypass Hose Replacement (LC3)

Removal Procedure




1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the water outlet housing. Refer to Water Outlet Housing Replacement (LH2) (Service and Repair)Water Outlet Housing Replacement (LC3) (Service and Repair).




3. Compress the clamps (1) as shown, and remove the bypass hose from the water outlet housing.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the bypass hose and clamps (1) to the water outlet housing.




2. Install the water outlet housing. Refer to Water Outlet Housing Replacement (LH2) (Service and Repair)Water Outlet Housing Replacement (LC3) (Service and Repair).
3. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) (Service and Repair).
4. Check the cooling system for leaks.
