Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement




Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement (LH2) (4.6L)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
3. Place a drain pan below the vehicle.




4. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose from the power steering fluid cooler.
5. Remove the reservoir inlet hose from the clip on the fan shroud.
6. Lower the vehicle.




7. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the reservoir inlet hose from the reservoir.
8. Remove the reservoir inlet hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose in the vehicle.




2. Install the reservoir inlet hose to the reservoir with the hose clamp.
3. Install the reservoir inlet hose to the clip on the fan shroud.




4. Install the reservoir inlet hose to the power steering fluid cooler with the hose clamp.
5. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
8. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
