Power Steering Pulley Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the secondary AIR relay bracket retaining nuts (2).
2. Remove the secondary AIR relay bracket (1) from the mounting studs.





3. Remove the surge tank retaining nut (2) and bolt (3).
4. Position and support the surge tank out of the way.





5. Remove the drive belt.
6. Using J 25034-C remove the power steering pump pulley.

Installation Procedure





1. Using J 25033-C install the power steering pulley to the power steering pump.





2. Ensure that the axial tolerance of the power steering pulley on the power steering pump is within 0.25 mm (0.010 inch), plus or minus.
3. Install the drive belt.





4. Install the surge tank (1) to the vehicle.

5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the surge tank retaining bolt (3) and nut (2).
Tighten the surge tank retaining bolt (3) and nut (2) to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).





6. Install the secondary AIR relay bracket to the mounting studs.
7. Install the secondary AIR relay bracket retaining nuts.
Tighten the secondary AIR relay bracket retaining nuts (2) to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
