Power Steering Reservoir Replacement

Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement (LP1, LY7)
Removal Procedure





1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct.
2. Remove the front air deflector.
3. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
4. Remove the power steering cooler hose from the power steering reservoir.
5. Remove the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering reservoir.





6. Remove the power steering reservoir bolts.
7. Remove the power steering reservoir.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the power steering reservoir.

2. Install the power steering reservoir bolts.
^ Tighten the upper bolts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).
^ Tighten the lower bolt to 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering reservoir.
4. Install the power steering cooler hose to the power steering reservoir.
5. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
6. Install the air cleaner intake duct.
7. Bleed the power steering system.
8. Install the front air deflector.
