Heater Hose: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




TOOLS REQUIRED
J 37097-A Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

1. Drain cooling system. Refer to Flushing in Cooling System.
2. Using the J 37097-A, remove the heater hose clamps from the heater core.
3. Using the J 37097-A, remove the heater hose clamps from the engine.




4. Remove the heater hoses from the heater core.




5. Remove the heater hoses from the engine.
6. Remove the heater hoses.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater hoses to the engine.




2. Install the heater hoses to the heater core.




3. Using the J 37097-A, install the heater hose clamps to the engine.
4. Using the J 37097-A, install the heater hose clamps to the heater core.
5. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Flushing in Cooling System.
