Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement

Important: Care must be taken when handling Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. Damage to the engine coolant temperature sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.

Remove or Disconnect

1. Drain coolant.

2. Electrical connector.

3. ECT from engine coolant pump.

Install or Connect

1. Coat engine coolant temperature sensor threads with sealer P/N 1052080 or equivalent.

2. Sensor in to engine coolant pump, torque sensor to 23 Nm (17 lb. ft.).

3. Electrical connector.

4. Refill coolant.

5. Start engine and check for leaks.

6. Recheck coolant level.
