Chart 8 RCDLR/Theft Deterrent Module Trans Will Not Program
Diagnostic Chart:
Wiring Diagram:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The RCDLR/TDM applies voltage to CKT 1455. When the programming connector terminals "A" and "B" are shorted together, the RCDLR/TDM senses a voltage drop on CKT 1455. The RCDLR/TDM then cycles all Door Lock Actuators once. The RCDLR/TDM then waits for input from the transmitter(s) or for the jumper to be removed from the programming connector.
CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. Check that the RCDLR/TDM applies voltage to CKT 1455.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Program a known good transmitter (see procedure) and test the RKE/TD system. If the RKE/TD System operates normally, the original transmitter was defective. If the RCDLR/TDM does not program using a known good transmitter, replace the RCDLR/TDM.
