CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

The programmer sends a variable voltage signal to the power module which is then amplified and sent to the blower motor. The programmer monitors the blower feedback voltage so that the signal can be adjusted to achieve the desired blower motor speed.

TEST DESCRIPTION

Numbers below refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.

1. This step checks if the power module is receiving a voltage signal from the programmer.

2. This step checks the power module ground circuit.

3. This step checks the power module voltage supply circuit.

4. This step checks if the blower motor is receiving voltage from the power module.

5. This step checks the blower motor ground circuit.

6. This step checks for a high draw blower motor which damaged the power module.
