Accelerator & Cruise Control Cable Adjuster

Fig. 42 Accelerator Control & Cruise Control Cable Adjuster Removal:

1. Remove cover and shield from adjuster, then squeeze tabs on side of cover to remove, Fig. 42.

2. Remove accelerator control and cruise control cable as outlined.

3. Remove accelerator control and automatic transmission TV as outlined.

4. Disconnect electrical connector, then loosen bolts/screws and reposition module.

5. Remove adjuster and bracket assembly from vehicle.

6. Remove bracket nuts, then bracket from adjuster.

7. Remove bracket from adjuster, then retainers and bolts/screws.

8. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:

a Tighten bracket bracket nuts to 71 inch lbs.

b. Tighten module bolts/screws to 71 inch lbs

c. Adjust automatic transmission TV cable as outlined

d Adjust accelerator cable (without V4U Coachbuilder Equipment Option) as outlined.
