Control Valve Body
CONTROL VALVE BODY 4T60-EControl Valve Body To Channel Plate Bolts.:
Removing Control Valve Assembly, Spacer Plate And Gaskets, Solenoid Screens, Checkballs, Dowel Pin Sleeves And Oil Pump Shaft.:
Checkball Locations.:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Case side cover.
2. Wiring harness as needed.
3. Oil pump.
4. Valve body to channel plate bolts.
5. Valve body, leaving spacer plate with the transaxle.
6. Spacer plate and gasket, if needed.
NOTE: For checkball locations refer to Figure.
CAUTION: Do not use impact type tools on the valve body or pump assembly.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
NOTE: Do not use any type of grease to retain or hold parts during assembly of this unit. Greases other than the recommended assembly lube will change transaxle fluid characteristics and cause undesirable shift conditions and/or filter clogging.
1. Retain checkballs in proper locations using assembly lube TRANSJEL J-36850, or equivalent (petroleum jelly). For checkball locations, refer to figure.
2. Solenoid screens, if previously removed.
3. Spacer plate and gasket, if previously removed.
4. Valve body and gasket.
5. Valve body to channel plate bolts. Refer to Figure for torque specifications.
NOTE: Use torque wrench to tighten the valve body bolts. Do not exceed the torque specification. If exceeded, the bolts may break.
CAUTION: Do not use impact type tools on the valve body or pump assembly.
6. Oil pump.
7. Wiring harness.
8. Case side cover.
9. Adjust fluid level.
