Timing Chain Replacement

Fig. 12 Camshaft Timing Marks:

1. Remove front cover as outlined under FRONT COVER.

2. Remove oil slinger from crankshaft.
3. Rotate crankshaft to align camshaft and crankshaft sprocket timing marks, Fig. 12.
4. Remove screw attaching camshaft sprocket to camshaft, then the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets with the timing chain attached.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Ensure that timing marks are aligned, Fig. 12.
