Inputs, Outputs, and Overrides
InputsBI08 - Low Refrigerant Pressure Switch
The low refrigerant pressure switch is displayed as a HI or LO voltage input to the Body Control Module (BCM). A HI indicates that refrigerant pressure is present (switch closed) or a LO indicates low refrigerant pressure (switch open) of approximately lot 10 or less, or an open circuit.
EI78 - Power Steering Pressure Switch
The power steering pressure switch is displayed as a HI or LO voltage input to the ECM. A LO indicates power steering pressure is high (wheel in crimp position).
Outputs
EO09 - A/C Relay
The A/C relay display will be "HI" when relay is energized.
Overrides
BS01 - Program Number
The program number is displayed as a percentage (%) and in the diagnostic mode, it is shown where the climate control set temperature is normally displayed. This number represents various levels of heating and cooling effort. As it first appears, the number displayed is the program number currently being used by the climate control system. As operating conditions and other inputs change, this number will automatically change to control the desired in-car temperature setting.
The automatic calculation of program number can be bypassed by manual override using the "COOLER" and "WARMER" button on the CCP. Pressing the "WARMER" button will force the program number to increase at a controlled rate until a value of "99" is reached. "99" represents the max heat (90°F) mode of the climate control operation.
Pressing the "COOLER" button will force the program number to decrease until the value of "0" is reached which represents the max A/C (60°) mode.
Between the values of "0" and "99", the display will show "--" (double dash). If this symbol remains displayed for three seconds, the override will revert to the value being commanded by the climate control system.
BS04 - Cooling Fans
The cooling fans override will control to "0" (fan "OFF") or "99" (max fans) as long as the button is held. Normal control will resume upon release of the button.
