Left Side (Front)

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain coolant.
3. Air cleaner, inlet hose/mass air flow sensor.
4. Coolant bypass pipe.
5. Heat shields.
6. Exhaust crossover/manifold assembly at right manifold.
7. Manifold bolts.
8. Exhaust manifold crossover assembly.

CLEAN
^ Mating surfaces at cylinder head and manifold.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Manifold bolts just enough to hold the manifold.
2. Exhaust crossover pipe to right manifold.
Tighten
^ Manifold bolts - 20-30 Nm (15-22 lbs. ft.).
3. Heat shields.
Tighten
^ Bolts to 10 Nm (90 in. lb.).
4. Coolant pipe.
5. Refill cooling system.
6. Air cleaner and inlet hose.
7. Negative battery cable.
