CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Based on a signal sent from the BCM, the programmer sends a variable voltage to the power module which is then amplified and sent to the blower motor. The programmer monitors the blower voltage so that the signal can be adjusted to achieve the desired blower motor speed.
TEST DESCRIPTION
1. This step checks to see if the fault is due to the blower circuit to the programmer or the blower control circuit outputted from the programmer.
2. This step checks to see if the fault is due to a short on CKT 754, the programmer, or the other control circuity.
3. This step checks to see if fault is due to an open in CKT 754 or the other control circuitry.
4. This step checks to see if fault is due to blower motor and circuits or other control circuitry.
5. This step checks to see if fault is due to power module and circuits or blower motor.
6. This step checks to see if fault is due to a short in CKT 760, the programmer or the BCM.
