Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation

This switch is located on the accumulator. This is a normally closed switch that provides a ground signal to the BCM. When refrigerant pressure falls below 2-8 psi, the switch opens and the open circuit is sensed by the BCM to control the compressor clutch.
