Water Pump Replacement

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain coolant.
3. A/C accumulator from bracket and position out of way.
4. A/C accumulator bracket from wheelhouse.
5. Right cross-car brace.
6. Accessory drive belt.
7. Drive belt idler pulley and bracket.
8. Water pump pulley.
9. Water pump.
10. Water pump gasket and discard.
CLEAN
^ Water pump and engine front cover sealing surfaces.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Thread the 3 water pump pulley bolts into the hub of the new water pump, then remove the 3 bolts. This will pre-thread the hub. Be sure to start the bolts square to the hub.
2. New water pump gasket on front cover studs.
3. Water pump.
TIGHTEN
^ All water pump fasteners to specifications.
4. Water pump pulley.
5. Drive belt idler pulley and bracket.
6. Right cross-car brace.
7. A/C accumulator bracket.
8. A/C accumulator.
9. Accessory drive belt.
10. Refill coolant.
11. Negative battery cable.
