FRONT ENGINE MOUNT
1982-84
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove engine mount nuts, then raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove inner fender shield attaching bolts, then the shield.
4. Support engine and remove and discard engine mount attaching bolts, Fig. 1.
5. Remove engine mount from vehicle. Whenever engine mount is removed, alignment bolt M6.0 x 1 x 65 must be used during installation to prevent power train misalignment.
6. Reverse procedure to install, using new engine mount bolts. Remove alignment bolt and torque engine mount to side frame bolts to 35-45 ft. lbs. Torque all other nuts and bolts to 25-35 ft. lbs. If excessive effort is required to remove alignment bolt, loosen transaxle adjusting bolts to align power train components.

REAR ENGINE MOUNT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. If equipped with manual transaxle, remove oil filter.
4. Support engine and remove engine mount nuts, Fig. 3.
5. Remove and discard engine mount to engine attaching bolts.
6. Remove engine mount from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Check oil level and torque nuts to 15-20 ft. lbs. and bolts to 25-35 ft. lbs.
