Assist Handle Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the center pillar garnish trim.
2. Lower the headliner to access the assist handle fastener. Refer to Headliner Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the 2 screws (2) that retain the assist handle (1) to the roof.
4. Remove the assist handle.


Installation Procedure





1. Position the assist handle (1) to the roof.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the two fasteners in order to retain the assist handle to the roof.

Tighten the 2 screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the headliner.
4. Remove the center pillar garnish trim.
